From the unreleased album Jensen!:

"Chords"--this is one of the first songs that Lucas ever recorded on the 4 track. This is the kind of song he thought was the best thing anybody had ever recorded ever before he came to his senses.

"Sleep Scars"--this is a blast from the past. It's okay to be a little embarrassed whilst listening to it.

From the unreleased album Perhaps the term non-professional is a misnomer:

"Those Simple Days of Autumn"--Lucas recorded this one at Radium Recordings. The drum beat was kinda boring to play over and over and over and over and over again. Big Gray don't do no loops. For the record, this song was written and recorded in 2002, so any My Morning Jacket references were way ahead of their time and totally hip.

"Deer Park (Crime Is Economic)"--Lucas is the only one who likes this one. Admittedly, it is a little over-the-top, but it's about murder, so...

From the yet-to-be-finished (and unreleased) album Love In The Age of Missiles:

"The Nixon Shocks"--a tribute/homage/ripoff to/to/of the E6 bands that so inspired Lucas back in the day. Though he is loathe to admit it, Lucas pretty much moved to Athens because of Neutral Milk Hotel and a bad break-up. There have been worse reasons to relocate. This song is about Japan.
